Sustainability
At Kedaung Group, sustainability is closely tied to the way we manufacture, invest, and operate for the long term. As a diversified industrial group with deep roots in tableware, homeware, and building materials, we believe responsible industry begins with producing durable goods, managing resources carefully, and continuously improving the efficiency and resilience of our operations.
Products Made to Last
Many of Kedaung’s core products are designed for longevity. Across glassware, ceramics, enamelware, and tiles, durability, functionality, and long service life remain central to the Group’s manufacturing philosophy.
In a world increasingly shaped by concerns around waste and short product life cycles, we believe well-made products that are built to last form an important part of more responsible consumption. From tableware designed for repeated daily use to building materials intended for long-term performance, Kedaung’s products are made with endurance in mind.
Responsible Manufacturing
Across the Group, sustainability in manufacturing is reflected not by a single initiative, but by long-term operational discipline. This includes maintaining strong control over production processes, improving efficiency where possible, and ensuring that industrial growth is supported by consistent reinvestment in facilities, machinery, and production systems.
Reducing production waste is one important part of this approach. For instance, in parts of the Group’s manufacturing operations, unfired ceramic body from rejected batches is recovered and repurposed wherever possible, helping to reduce material waste without compromising product quality.
In several subsidiaries, vertical integration plays an important role in supporting this approach. By managing key stages of production in-house, the Group is able to maintain closer control over quality, reduce inefficiencies across the production chain, and support more consistent use of materials, energy, and infrastructure.
Water and Resource Stewardship
Responsible water management is an important part of Kedaung’s operating philosophy. Within the Kedaung Tangerang Industrial Compound, large-scale groundwater extraction facilities support the water requirements of major manufacturing operations, while certain subsidiaries also operate independent groundwater extraction and water treatment systems to reduce reliance on external water supply.
The Group has also continued to invest in water resilience and process efficiency. At KOPIN, for example, a water recycling system was installed to process production wastewater into clean water for reuse, helping to support more stable operations while reducing dependence on external water sources.
This reflects a broader commitment to managing essential industrial inputs with care. Across the Group’s operations, attention is given to the efficient use of water, materials, and production resources as part of long-term manufacturing resilience.
Continuous Investment and Efficiency
As a long-established industrial group, Kedaung views sustainability not only as an environmental matter, but also as a question of operational quality, resilience, and long-term efficiency. The Group continues to reinvest in its factories, machinery, and production systems to improve performance, reliability, and energy efficiency over time.
This extends to the broader design and operation of industrial facilities. Considerations such as factory layout, lighting, ventilation, equipment performance, and workflow efficiency all contribute to modern, productive, and increasingly efficient manufacturing environments across the Group’s operations.
People and Long-Term Responsibility
For Kedaung, sustainability also means building businesses that endure through people, skills, and continuity. As a long-established group, the Company has built a strong reputation for long-term employment, with many employees contributing decades of experience and technical knowledge across its subsidiaries.
This continuity forms an important part of the Group’s long-term strength. By supporting stable employment, preserving industrial expertise, and continuing to invest in its people and operations, Kedaung aims to build businesses that remain resilient across generations.
